People have grudges, it's part of being human.
I hope he can work on drug and theft issues. I hope everyone in a bad situation can improve their lives...

But I think it goes back to the OP... People experience different things with people. Max Hall may have been justified in tearing down the utes, but it may not have been the best idea, and certainly had a tinge of irony.

This poster may have been justified in not liking Max, however it came across wrong. People have grudges, and it's normal.

My background of transferring from UCLA and being in a "frat" there made me predisposed to hanging out with some people who partied harder than most at BYU. More than a couple athletes attended these parties. I'm just as guilty as they are, I am just saying that not every player is who many fans see. Ultimately, it's no ones business.

If I ever did cocaine, or had been busted for some of my transgressions my career would be over. Sometimes it seems like with athletes or celebs, or politicians... that the public loves these stories of overcoming vices... Whereas an application that says "arrested for cocaine and theft" would go directly into the trash can for anyone else.

All this is a direct result of putting people on a pedestal to begin with, which is often damaging and unfair to younger people put into the spotlight.
