Notre Dame x 2 and Wisconsin give me little faith that our DL can handle their OL without some help. And I think our DL is not as strong as it was the last 2 years.

I hope that I am wrong.

We have the best DB's and deepest backfield that we have had in a long time. I say, take advantage of that. I think it will become apparent during the game that we can't stop the run without help and we will have to stack the box to take away what they want to do.

It will then come down to if our DBs are up to the task of covering their receivers and if the QB can make the throws.

I have no problem if BYU doesn't stack the box early on, but I would not give my run D much of a leash. If Texas starts to run well, then you got to bring help. I know that you mentioned this in your post, so I am not necessarily disagreeing with you, more just stating that I don't think we can stop their running attack without help.
