of BYU's problems.
Related anecdote:
A younger Mathlete was hanging out with several members of the 2000 football team in the fall of 2000. We were discussing the the changes in uniforms, logos, and colors.
Several of the guys on the team were arguing that the change in color scheme were intended to help make BYU merchandise more marketable.
Young Mathlete, without considering his audience said, doesn't matter what the uniforms look like, if you win games the stuff will sell.
Fortunately, the football players were kind enough not to take it personally and didn't assault me, but I stand by the point that if BYU wins games it matters very little what Mark May thinks or what the unis look like.
