RE: Game day experience at Lavell Edward Stadium improvements
Not sure how many know this, but there is a reason the music isn't pumped out as loud as it once was. One way to excite the crowd is through music. However, if you're in the stadium you'll notice that the music/sounds originate from the north stadium speakers and are sent southward. This is because the residents that live in the north side have complained and BYU can no longer exceed a certain decibel outside the stadium. I'm not sure all that goes into air rights, etc. but I've been told this is the reason the music isn't as loud as it once was.

This is also the reason we don't have a larger screen on the north end. Originally we were going to put in a 100+ video board, but the residents again on the north end said that the shadow cast from such a large addition makes it impossible for the road to thaw in the winter that runs just north of the stadium. This has been confirmed to me by someone in the AD and that's why we went with 2 average sized video boards.

Otherwise, did anyone else think the stadium was dead pretty much the entire duration of the game? It was the quietest game I can remember in recent years. No emotion or excitement from the fans, other than the ROC. I'm hoping that changes.
