So My family and I are true blue Texas Converts, but feel we need to be closer to Family in WA/OR area. I don't want to live in OR due to schools, economics, income tax etc, whereas WA has no income tax and the schools seem to be generally better. I grew up in Vancouver, WA but have not lived there for many years. If you are from either of these 2 states can you give me your impressions, cost of living in your area, school district recommendations ( for all levels) etc. Any help would be appreciated, as this decision to leave TX and security as far as my job has been a hard one, but we feel The Lord is gently pushing us in the direction of "going home" I am just not sure where to look within the states (most likely, if I live in OR it would be Portland/metro area due to my curent job, but I want to practice full-time and it looks like WA has more options for that. Ugh .
