Great article. The fact that every game is on tv is a wonderful thing, but also
makes it harder to keep attendance strong when there is always the alternative of watching at home. Listening on the radio, for example, is not a viable substitute to watching the game either on tv or in person. But when students and alums have the easy option of spending 3 hours watching a game on tv (or 1.5-2 hrs if you DVR and fast forward through, like many do) rather than spending an entire day or significant portion of a day getting to the game early and sitting on uncomfortable metal benches with your knees in someone's back, you're going to lose a lot of people.
