ignoring evidence to the contrary, you are right.
I am sure you don't work much with the youth. I know personally how many would like to go to BYU and cannot. The majority don't even bother applying while those that are borderline get accepted about half the time.
Maybe your comment means, "it is easy to get in if you have the test scores and grades"?
