I think it would really help if the sec champ...

came from the SEC west. The team in the west by far carry the most clout and respect around the nation. If a good sec team from the east won the SEC Champ game, I think it would be difficult for the committee to not take the SEC champ, and the best team from the SEC west ala Alabama, ATM, Auburn, or LSU
