Payson city has made it tough on small business in the past
And have been extremely difficult in the past for big business to move into Payson. Former Mayors and council members were business owners in Payson and limited growth opportunities to protect themselves. Our new city manager David Tuckett, seems to be more progressive. We'll see just how much over the next few years beginning with the temple dedication. The temple being completed will drive some things. David Tuckett, by the way, played on the 1984 NC football team.

We have heard rumors about a new interchange for years. The truck stop on the North end of main street was sold in preparation for building that interchange, but plans were pushed back. Hopefully it happens soon.

I have thought about moving from Payson a few times, but I love my neighbors so much I just can't convince myself to do it. There are not better or nicer people anywhere. ( That should get me a prime rib dinner at Dalton Brothers!!)

If you have never been to Dalton's for dinner, you are missing out. Better try it!
