There have been 17 seasons by BYU QB's with better yds/TD's, but yes that was
Feterik's best year. With one obvious exception (Washington), he wasn't the kind of QB that would make a great play when things break down, or lead the team on a comeback when they needed it. He had no escapability from the pass rush and had a strong tendency to hold onto the ball and take a sack (cautiously managing the game). He was the 2nd most sacked QB in BYU history, but also was the 2nd best (lowest) in interceptions as % of attempts in BYU history. To me, this is a game manager. His senior year benefited from the new Norm Chow spread offense where we threw much more.
