I lived 10 miles from my high school. Shawn's house is out in the middle of nowhere between the two. His parents owned a HUGE saint bernard. Like a typical new driver, I ran out of gas a couple times and had to walk to Shawn's house to call home. This was the pre-cell phone era of course. The first time Shawn's parents helped me out and everything went fine. His family is awesome. The second time I ran into his saint bernard as I came down the long drive. I swear that thing weighed more than 200 pounds. I made friends with him so he wouldn't eat me, but then he mounted my leg... all of it. I started to push him off but he growled - so I waited until he was done. Being assaulted by a giant dog was very traumatizing and I've had trust issues ever since.

I have never run out of gasoline again... ever.
