Bronco has addressed this his last 2 post-game interviews. He doesn't mind the
penalties during plays so much as the ones prior to or after a play. Personal fouls, delay of game calls, false starts, drive him crazy, and they talk about those all the time with the team. Penalties during the course of a play where a player is just trying to make a play are a lower concern, and they will work on cleaning those up as the season goes on.

He also claims that they have gone back and studied the stats, and determined that penalties as a whole don't affect the outcomes of games a lot. Some of the most successful teams in football are also the most penalized. The problem is when and where the bad penalties occur. I imagine he won't be too concerned about penalties until one clearly costs us a game.

He also said that Doctor Anae took responsibility for the delay of game we got on the one change of possession. He said he wasn't aware the clock was running at the time and relaying the complicated play call in took longer than expected.
