It's not like BYU didn't try to schedule harder teams...Texas, Virginia, Houston
and Connecticut... 3 of the 4 are good P5 schools, and one good non-P5 school. Seems like you are reasoning that P5 schools are automatically better than BYU, so according to most people's logic, that should be a pretty good schedule, right? Except you're trying to say they aren't tough, so all P5 teams aren't tougher than non-P5 teams? You can't have that logic both ways.

Plus, scheduling is done years in advance. There is no way to know that Texas wouldn't be so great this year, 3-4 years ago. BYU has done its due diligence in trying to make its schedule tougher. To hold that against them when it is convenient, just because the teams that have been pretty good in the past aren't good this year, is just showing in the injustice in the system, which isn't BYU's fault.

Maybe you're trying to say Connecticut isn't all that good and never has been, or that Virginia isn't very good in the ACC. Well, then the logic of P5 v. non-P5 is laughable. When you want to use it, you will say that Duke has always been better than BYU because it is in the ACC. Well, no.
