Let's look at Sagarin ratings.

BYU's strength of schedule at this point of the season is 48th.

14 of the top 25 have a SOS that's worse than BYU's to this point of the season.
10 of the top 25 have a SOS that's better than BYU's to this point of the season.

Incidentally, Utah's SOS at this point of the season is 120th.
