instead of passing from within in the pocket? It seems like the O-line isn't giving T.H. time to throw (at least against UVA). I'm wondering if, with his speed and agility, if he would be more effective by rolling outside of the pocket.
I admit that I don't consider myself as a mastermind of the offense, but in my mind rolling him outside of the pocket could have a few benefits.
1. He would likely have a better view of the field.
2. He would have fewer passes batted down.
3. The defenders on the outside and corners would be forced to stay closer to the line of scrimmage because of his speed, which would likely allow the receivers to occasionally break away into the secondary for long pass receptions.
The only drawback I can see is that it leaves T.H. open to take extra punishment if he can't find an open receiver, especially if blocking assignments are missed. Plus throwing on the run may not be his strength.
Sorry if this has already been discussed by somebody else. I might have missed one.
