I typically only watch the AL, and have listened to about every announcer (radio or tv) for those teams, but watching this NL game tonight I didn't know who was doing the announcing. I've heard about how legendary the guy is, but didn't know who it was until your link. I had thought him sub-par to mediocre in listening tonight, but know he's seen as a saint/legend by a lot of people. Is he only great because he's been doing it so long and the fans are used to his style?
