to prevent you from accurately comprehending the big picture. I'm assuming you and many family members attended BYU and that the institution means a lot personally. Sometimes when we are very close to something, we can't see its deficiencies. I'm also guessing that you grew up in the glory days of BYU. I'm most likely a lot younger than you, and I didn't attend BYU. But I still love BYU football. I feel like an outsider. I think I evaluate both programs fairly and give credit where credit is due. Also, I missed the glory days. In my fandom (post 2005), BYU hs been little brother. Once again, 3-6, 4 in a row, no BCS bowls to Utahs 2, G5 vs P5, etc. During my fandom (the last decade), Utah has been the superior program in just about every measurable way. I don't believe you can realistically make a logical argument to support your idea that BYU has been the more successful program over the last decade. I don't really care about Detmer, or Young, or McMahon, or even Sark, because I didn't get to experience those highs. What I know is Bronco Mendenhall, and his failures as compared to Utah.
