BYU had the same opportunity to win its way to the BCS/P5 over the last 10 years, just like Utah and TCU. This year the table was set, the prize was there for the taking. BYU did exactly what BYU always does....roll over when opportunity knocks.

A one loss Indy BYU is irrelevant, dismissed without a thought by the football world. A two loss BYU is MWC / WAC material. Nothing more. Not attractive in any way to a P5 conference. Even one like Big12 that probably needs to expand.

I don't know how much BYU gets from ESPN for TV contract. But I doubt they'll get that kind money on a future deal. BYU just doesn't perform well enough as an Indy. Prime time losses to USU and UCF don't impress...there are no moral victories.

Winning is the only thing that matters....there is ZERO margin of error for BYU football.
