Cougar Board break begins now---can't read the totally irrational takes going on
This will sound whiny and i know it, but it is embarrassing to come on here at this point. Just 4 weeks ago EVERYONE on here was singing the praises of this BYU team and the new Bronco. We understood Go Fast, Go Hard, and the Go Deep aspect that was developing (even in the Utah State game). We all had concerns about our D (valid) Howell (Valid) and the Penalties (Valid).

Taysom broke his leg. (on a horse collar that wasn't called...which may have changed the outcome of the game...but that is besides the point) The offense was scrapped.

I don't know if others have rewatched that game like I have, but if guys simply catch balls that hit them in their hands.....it is a different ball game. We lose 8-9 starters in that game alone before the 4th quarter.

Not just the Heisman candidate.... I expect coaches to have a plan B, and to be able to plug a few holes but 8-9 guys is a lot.

Then, on a short week having to coach around major injuries BYU travels across the country to face a very good UCF team. (a game I and many others had circled as the game we might lose even with a healthy Taysom...not just a trap game loss) The only piece of the puzzle UCF was missing from their BCS busting team was their QB, and if their QB finds any rhythm the team that busted the BCS is essentially intact. in the first quarter BYU loses their best CB, LB, and RB. Not just contributing guys...The top guys. oh, and UCF's QB finds his stride against our second string Defense (no Fua, Bills, JJ, Leavitt, I can't even name everyone anymore) Despite this BYU makes a comeback and gains a lead... Loses the lead and goes into OT.

This one irks me because there is not a soul who can argue it ended on a bad call. But they throw that flag, and we get a new set of downs on the 2...the way Brown was pounding I have to think BYU ties the game.

Then last night.

We play Nevada. Fajardo is good. Nevada is underrated, and BYU is trotting out it's JV team out there. Anyone who watched that game objectively knows that turnovers lost us that game. Injuries are a major factor.

My point after all this stuff that seems to be completely ignored by everyone posting so negatively on here is, it is discouraging to be a BYU fan and to see how many people are so quick to overlook everything good that Bronco has done for the program, including this year prior to the Taysom injury to so quickly take this team and Bronco out to the curb.

I think a lot of people were ready for the program to go beyond Bronco (Future_Tacos, Oct 19, 2014 at 3:03pm)
