I'm speaking mostly about the defense, because I think the offense has done enough to win games. Part of that is injury, but Fua is the only front 7 starter out the last 2 games. I think we have players that given time and development in the system will be better in the years to come. The fact is, and the results of the defensive play this year bears this out, our front seven is not capable of creating a pass rush, and the secondary isn't good enough to contain receivers when opposing QBs have unlimited time to throw. Yes, we have big problems, and they've been created over the past few years by not recruiting DLs that can beat opposing lineman in 1:1 situations.
