Who will be a better DC? We need to find this person

I know Bronco is a much better DC and he should be able to find someone adequate to work under his direction. Are the other defensive coaches bad too? If they weren't, you would think the defense could survive Bronco stepping aside as DC. Other than injuries, what's happening here?

With a fumble, usually the D falls on it and that is where they get the ball.
