A basketball post, because i'm sick of talking about our football team
I think we could be really good by the end of the year, but I think we'll have some struggles early on. Alot of people are really optimistic about this years team, and overlooking some significant issues.

1.) Our front court will be worse at the start of the year because we don't have anyone to immediately replace Mika's low post scoring. Aytes won't suit up until December, Kaufusi is a stud, but from what i've heard hes pretty rough around the edges offensively and will need some time to develop. I really like Nate and what he brings to the team, but for whatever reason hes never tried to develop a low post game. I miss having some like Araujo, Plaisted, or Davies getting the ball in the Post and forcing the other team to collapse on him and then kicking the ball out for a 3.

2.) Last year we really struggled defending the 3, and I we havn't added any elite perimeter defenders to the program to fix this issue. Winder getting more minutes will help for sure, and Bartley showed some sparks last year, but that probably isn't going to be enough to fix the problem. Fischer had some issues defensively at Wake Forest and i'm sure if those have been corrected or not. Unless the coaches makes changes this will lose us at least one game to some team like Pepperdine.

3.) We really need a legit 3rd scorer on offense. Winder is very efficient but isn't aggressive enough on offense. I'd really like to see him take more shots. I think it is possible Fischer could fill the void, but i'm not sure hes much of threat inside the arc. Our offense is going to be really predictable if half our possessions are KC driving to the rim and Haws taking mid range jumpers.

All that being said I still think we'll have a solid team especially when March rolls around.

Fischer, Toolson, and Nielsen will drastically improve our 3 point shooting which was terrible last year.
We have way more depth this year.
Kaufusi and Aytes will give us alot of added talent in the post. We won't have to worry about front court foul trouble when we play Gonzaga and St. Marys in the Conference Tournament.
It sounds like KC has significantly improved his shooting.
Haws is going to be unbelievable if he improves as much this year as he did last year.
