I suspect
It really comes down to, Utah has both recruited and developed players at a "few" positions a lot better than BYU has. I don't think this is reflective of over all recruiting and/or player development. Utah just seems to rock at recruiting and developing D Lineman, Linebackers, and corners. In the past, this could be arguably said about running backs and to some extent receivers (but not lately, at least by the numbers). I'm the most perplexed at how many more O-Lineman Utah has in the NFL. These over all numbers wouldn't surprise me at all, if not for the fact that BYU/utah's recruiting classes have been relatively comparable over the years (when analyzing the seasons that either could have produced current NFL eligible players).

Obviously Sitake is the guy heading up the unit that demonstrates such a major advantage over BYU in filling NFL rosters. That really should say something, considering we all (even the haters) know that Bronco is one of the best defensive minds in the business. At some point, (and to be honest, I've always thought the idea was a huge stretch) decision makers should consider that Sitake might very well be the brilliant up-and-coming-coach that we'd be incredibly sorry to whiff on.

More than any of this though, I really don't get CB in general. Most of us on this board are usually the smartest person in the room (especially in our business lives). Yet on CB, our collective analytical acumen tends to melt into emotionally driven marginalization and spewing of hyperbole. I guess that's why we're truly fans (fanatics).
