It's not that simple as you make it out to be.
I was satisfied with John Beck/Max Hall/Bronco BYU.
Then Heaps & Riley happened. The funny thing is even though Heaps had everyone fooled from Washington to Florida, the popular line here was it was all the coaches fault that Heaps couldn't play. Yes, the same people now that are calling for Bronco's head were the same people that wanted Heaps to play as a true freshman QB and were the same people that blamed Bronco for not developing Heaps and then they were the same people that blamed Bronco when Heaps transferred for not being able to handle "elite" talent. LOL
Things were finally getting turned around this year and yes, it was because of QB play, but then the QB got injured.
The choice of QB has been HUGE for BYU's football seasons. Look at the future QBs coming to BYU. Seems like brighter days are ahead, especially if Bronco goes back to coaching the D. But all the haters are on a rampage right now and there's no stopping them, because BYU isn't a P5 team yet, and it's obviously all on Bronco. The injuries are on Bronco, the weather is on Bronco, and all events in the Universe begin and end with Bronco.
Forgive me if I'm a little more skeptical of fans' football knowledge than the coaches. I find it funny that while former BYU players are putting more blame on the players, the fans all got their pitchforks and torches out going after the coaches.
I just say be careful what you wish for, BYU fans, you just might get it.
