...to USU's starting QB and best defensive player being out for the season, our best WR was also out. BYU at least had their stud QB for about 1/2 the game...
You may say USU is a mid-tier MWC team, and that may be true today, but we've played the last 3 games without our 3 top playmakers, and still took CSU to the very end (same CSU team that is now 6-1 with a road win over BC). Oh, and BYU is staring 0-3 in the MWC in the face...so perhaps you should be careful about throwing around the smug dismissal of MWC teams.
