He was raised a BYU kid. His mom ran track for BYU and coaches at BYU
His dad is a BYU grad. They live in Provo, go to Timpview.
He is 6'8 with a 7'2" wingspan and jumps out of the gym. He should have been an easy decision easy get for BYU. Instead, other schools are stepping ahead and offering him while BYU sits on their hands. Arizone State and others are rolling out red carpet for him. If BYU doesn't get him it wasn't because they were not the initial front runner. PAC12 schools are all over him yet BYU is yet to offer.
