Past generations never had to resort to this, when BYU was doing miraculous things on the field of play. We're now seeming to resort to our last remaining trump card, and it's sad. Of course BYU provides a better, more wholesome environment, for those wanting to insulate themselves from the risk of being exposed to cultures that might be counter to life's greater purpose. I'd be a fool to criticize this. I just hate that this is becoming a focal justification as to why BYU football is simply not excelling like past generations of BYU's football programs have on the field of play. I remember when they all made us all extremely proud and wishing for the opportunity to prove even more. Now we make excuses, and find solace in how much better the BYU experience is, compared to what the dirty Yewts can provide.
