I did give up on doorstop #4 of the GOT series - seriously, how many words do you need to write out Days of Our Lives in a preindustrial setting? - but the Dark Tower had me from page one. Sanderson, on the other hand, took me a bit. I got through Way of Kings, and by the end was liking it, but Steelheart just didn't work for me and I gave up halfway. I'll try again, likely, but I'm never doing GOT again.
