I'll agree with some that the article could have gone without the ending where he names the next coach at Sitake, but the records speak for themselves in facts 1, 2, and 3. Bronco's record is heavily inflated with some cupcake games. BYU will never get the respect that it's fans desire until they start beating the good teams, the in-state rivals, and definitely the teams in the P5.
The college playoff is in it's first season. Some conference champs are going to be left out. Already this season, the Big 12 won't have an undefeated team. Does a one-loss Big 12 team get into the playoff over a one-loss team in another P5 conference that wins a conference championship game? Probably not. The Big 12 doesn't want to add schools because it will decrease revenue across the board, but if they don't have a presence in college football's playoff, then they have a bigger issue. My point is that the Big 12 won't come calling for a mediocre BYU squad that only beats the bad or average teams. They'll look elsewhere.
Was it a rant by Stevenson? Yep. Did he have some statistical proof to back up what he's saying? Yep. Don't hate on him for stating his (well backed) opinion.
