Mormon BSU fans hate BYU. Back in the early 90's my dad was a bishop for one of the institute wards at BSU. We use to come with him all the time to the institute wearing normal street clothes which were often byu related shirts etc. I remember as a kid how much those lds BSU students hated the Y and let me know about it and it wasn't just good natured ribbing.

Now as a man it seems even worse on my Facebook page. To be honest there was a big division of lds kids from boise high school that fell into different camps-the best of us that graduated went to BYU as a large group sticking together as freshman and are close to this day, next a fairly good sized group that went off to ricks and finally the group that couldn't get into BYU, didn't want to go to ricks so they wandered there way through BSU.

My observation- To this day the BYU group obviously cheers for BYU with little acknowledgment or hate for BSU when we are not playing them, the Ricks kids cheer for both BYU and BSU throughout the season and the BSU kids simply hate BYU every week of the season regardless of who they are playing.
