My generation (hs class of 2006) was one of the first to start flocking to Boise State. Now local kids (as a result of the economy and Boise's increase in popularity) are choosing to stay here more. I think my generation sees BYU more as a peer (in athletics) and 99% don't even remember Boise State's first two games vs. the Y. It may be a generational thing than a wide-spread thing. Little brother goes to Utah State and that's BYU hate, nothing close up here among the student body.
