I think fewer people would be calling for BMs head if it seemed like he cared more about winning than the average fan (I know he does but not from his public statements). No (stated) special prep or approach for rivals, lack of fire on the sidelines, and then the same monotone blather after losses about people needing to execute at a higher level. He needs to say "This stinks, it's unacceptable, it's my fault and I'm going to fix it" and then fire or demote Howell and most people would give him the benefit of the doubt. He won't do that and the calls for his head will get louder and the rest of this year will be an ugly mix of finger pointing, excuse making, and recriminations. At least basketball is about to start.
