I am not a fan of some of the choices that Bronco has made. I think some of them have backfired in ways that were only visible in retrospect. I think that Bronco really, really struggles with managing highly recruited players and I think that his love for underdogs is unsustainable.

With all that, I think he is one of the few men who have the ability to manage the BYU culture and the requirements of running a college football team. Let's be clear that the kind of backdoor shenanigans that happened up Lavell in the 80's are impossible today. Social media guarantees that players who are sneaking around violating the honor code are going to get busted.

So, before we send Bronco on his way, I hope we can honestly evaluate(from the very, very limited perspective of fans) if this season is a fluke and next year we are back where we are meant to be or if this season is an indictment of Bronco's mismanagement of coaching staff and talent. I don't know which one makes more sense.
