for all involved, but the glaring weakness of BM and RA has been lack of judgment, and any real introspection that results in sig. Change.
There's a point where dogged commitment to a scheme and stubborn refusal to change turns from a strength into a devastating liability. Seriously, this is my team, I don't like seeing the carnage occurring. but, based on past debacles of judgment, from inadequate players in key roles to numeorous inadequate coaches hired fired and rehired, I'm not all that surprised.
I esp. Feel for the players. For first year in FCS ball, I had a coach w staff that was out-prepared, out schemed and the other team ran circles around us w in game adjustments. It was sheer hopelessness when you 100% know that due to coaching, you don't have a chance. I battled through 2 knee surgeries from fall camp to wk 6 and played thx to sheer willpower and modern pharmacology, but there's nothing that can compensate for inadequate schemes, emotional motivation, and seeing your coaches shrug and say, "it's nothing wrong w prep or schemes. Players need to execute the plays." Every ache and pain is numbed by winning, or amplified many fold by the steaming turdpile of a season squandered. Still, I thought best option was BM seeing past mistakes and changing, also hiring the best and brightest staff. It's more than obvious this is beyond his capabilities.
