President George Albert Smith, via telegram, told the 1951 BYU
Basketball team before their NIT National Championship game, "Play hard, Play fair, and Play to win."

Somehow, the simple logic of his advice is lost on our current football program. We prepare and play hard, and fair. But we have this whole ridiculous "Football is 5th" thing. You don't become great at anything by consistently telling yourself that what you're measured by in your current capacity is not that important. That approach is illogical and counter-intuitive.

Bronco needs to read "Lessons from Great Lives" by former General Authority Sterling W. Sill.
