I see you joined today. sorry if you take offense to the discussion on the
board. some are much more harsh than others. The fact of the matter is that is part of what the job of a college coach entails is being under the microscope and criticized or praised depending on results. These coaches get payed a lot of money to deal with the pressure and stress of the job and if they can't take being criticized or asked the tough questions, than get a job that is out of the public limelight. You are making all these people wanting improvement in the coaching and results out to be villains when it is not the case.

Now as far as personal attacks and insults, I agree that is unwarranted but true discussion on performance is valid. Believe it or not there are some on this board who actually know what they are talking about as far as football, coaching, etc. There are plenty that don't, but have some perspective from your angle as well.

It would be one thing if this was just one game but it has been snowballing and getting worse and worse and this interview and the overall tone that Coach Howell showed didn't help his cause. I thought that the interviewers were pretty tame compared to what would have been asked in other college football media outlets.
