I may be delusional, not sure if it is your place to suggest that, but i'll respectfully counter.
No doubt the offense should have been built around him, but it wasn't. Taysom was the offense. It's easy to see now how much more involved the receivers could have been if taysom could have acted more on Steve young's advice and let other players make plays. He checked down too much and relied on his legs too much, but he was great at it. It was hard not to believe that he would inevitability get hurt running 20+ times a game. I believe all of our running backs have missed games this year due to being injured (except lasike). That's what happens to guys that run the ball.
And on defense, too much emphasis on being physicial instead of fundamental angles and tackling. This has resulted in an excessive amount of injuries and penalties that have come at bad times.
