Upon further review,
watched a replay and surprises to me included how comfortable Winder looked at PG. That was not the case when Coaches tried him there as a freshman and a soph.
Bartley looks like odd man out. He does things defensively once in a while that are special but makes far to many mistakes to play PG. Wish i could say it was just a bad night. Toolson underperformed compared to his summer play.
Kaufusi did OK but was simply not jumping like he did all summer. He has been nursing a knee during the last few weeks and that is something to worry about, especially with Austin hurting and Aytes now unlikely to be 100% by late December.
The best three rebounders on the team did not play.
Halford and Ellis have been my favorite candidates for back-up PG but Ellis starts the year as low man on the roster, so say the coaches. I will not fear if he is called upon to play some point.
I may join those who like Winder as a PG option.
