Indeed - most seem to be taking him down for soft defense
And he WAS soft underneath a few times, but he had some really nice plays too:
1) Great block of KD underneath
2) Nice running dunk
3) Pretty good shooting outside
He's going to have to work on his defense, and you can tell he really has to work to get himself down the floor quickly - but I'm really excited and encouraged by what I saw from him. Of course, KD's game is WAY more refined, and having him next year will be a HUGE plus.
