Hong Kong
I was in Hong Kong for a week this year. It is amazing! If you can get a group together, go to the horse races on Wednesday night and do the "tourist" package where you get a buffet dinner, they teach you how to bet, and let you watch one of the races track side. It is amazing.

There is great food throughout the city. The shopping will blow your mind. The number of malls and stores is about 10X the shopping in Chicago. I'm not a shopper...just saying. I did enjoy walking down "cat street," where they have antiques and odds and ends for sale.

Take the trolley to the top of the peak, and then walk down the trail back to the city through the jungle. It is a relatively short and easy walk.

Check out the botanical gardens in Hong Kong.

Take the star ferry across the bay between Hong Kong and Kowloon.

I would suggest staying on the Hong Kong side rather than Kowloon. There is plenty to see in Kowloon, but I got tired of getting harassed to buy fake watches and suits.

It is easy to get around. The subway system is very easy to use.

...and for food, just be sure to get some good dim sum while you are there. There are many good places. Here is a good starting point: http://danielfooddiary.com/2014/03/05/hongkongdimsum/

If you are only there for 5 days and working, you aren't going to be able to get it all in. You will have a great time, though.
