I was in Hong Kong earlier this year, and will be in Hong Kong/Shenzhen again in
a couple of weeks.

Very easy city to get around in. I took the little red taxi cabs everywhere, and they aren't that expensive (but of course I was expensing it all to the client). Where are you staying?

Victorias Peak was pretty cool. Definitely a tourist trap, but awesome views.

The Ozone Bar at the top of the International Commerce Center (110 story building) was amazing. Ride up the elevators just to catch the view. It will be crowded, especially if you got later in the evening, and I think they have a $1000 HKD minimum after 8PM, but worth it.

I also did some shopping in the street markets. The Ladys Market in Mong Kok has some good shopping for fake stuff. I got some fake Beats headphones for like $25. You can also get fake designer stuff from Louis Vitton, Coach, etc. Make sure you haggle - try to get a price somewhere around 25% the original they quote you.

Tons of people will ask you if you want a "copy watch" or a "copy suit".

Try to stake awake on your flight out there (assuming you land in the evening). When you get to your hotel, take some melatonin pills and sleep the night. Then the next day stay up until at least 9PM. You'll be a little tired throughout the week, but not that bad if you stay up the first night.

Then the last night you are there, try to stay up the whole night and then pop some more melatonin pills when you get on the plane and sleep the first half of the plane ride home. That minimizes jet lag, but you'll still be tired.
