How many 'special seasons' does any HC have really ? Like you said, the bigger issue is that we don't have a conference championship to play for but that has nothing to do with who the HC is.

kyle has been given some leeway because of their p12 membership but being independent presents its own challenges with the extensive travel and having different opponents all the time not to mention that the players don't have that championship to shoot for.

Injuries have really derailed this season and it sucks. Hopefully, it'll pay off next year.
