Don't we have some transfers that are expected to make a splash?

Admittedly, our defense isn't good, and I don't think there are indications that it will be amazing.

I still don't feel like anyone has explained what the game changer is for the Utes this year that's got everyone so high on them.

If you're a Utah fan, I could see how you might be high on your team because of the baseline you're working off of. Utah basketball is coming out of some really ugly years, and this year it looks like they have a legitimate shot at the big dance. Why are BYU fans talking about how Utah is better than BYU, when I think BYU fans have just as many, if not more, reasons to be high on their team, which has a proven record.

Heck, if BYU didn't improve any off of last year, and hit the exact same level (which, being that nearly the entire team is returning, seems perhaps pessimistic), they would still do as well or better than the Ute's plausible high point. IOW, I think BYU could outperform Utah (as far as record and post season results) and BYU fans would have reason to be disappointed and Utah fans would have reason to be ecstatic.

If BYU's low water mark is higher than Utah's high water mark, why all the Utah hype?
