If someone doesn't know the area at all realtors can be beneficial sure.... But the internet tho, all the info is right there.

For what you get, and how much time it takes them Realtors are insanely expensive per hour. Like 500 dollars an hour in some instances. For some reason when people buy and sell property they let their wallet open up and not consider things as much as they usually do.

The trend in the future will be realtors setting a fixed price of 2k to 2.5k no matter the size of the house as a commission. It's happening right now, several companies are working like this. They are pricing themselves out of a job if they won't go this route. The shared 6% fee is just ludicrous

But yeah, if you are relocating and know nothing they can help... but why not rent for a year or so, learn the info for yourself and save so much. However, it's the people selling the home that should advertise by owner, they are the ones that get realtors in the game.
