This logic fails and almost proves the point you are trying to disprove
Why should it be limited to only coaches that were fired? Why is it easier to replace a coach like urban Meyer who moves on to a better job? The reason because those guys built programs, recruited good players and hired good assistants. The coaches with decent records are getting fired because they haven't done those things. Usually they are fired when the program is on a downward path anyways. The coaches incompetence at building the program shouldn't insulate him from being fired.
