You say that Bronco spends too much time and effort on the spiritual stuff.
So tell me, what exactly is Bronco doing on the spiritual side that takes so much time and effort? Specifically, what spiritual activity do you want Bronco to stop so he can spend that time on football? Since there are so many obvious things, this should be an easy question to answer.

After you've thought on this for a few moments, you've probably realized that Bronco doesn't actually do much of anything on the spiritual side that takes any extra time or effort. Bronco's not holding prayer meetings, or leading scripture study groups, or anything like that. About all anybody could come up with are the firesides, but Bronco doesn't even plan those himself and they are voluntary for the players.

The point of all of this is that talking up the spiritual aspects of BYU takes no more time and effort than to answer a few questions during media availability time. Any failings of the coaching staff and weak product on the field are due to coaching issues, and not due to the fact that Bronco is vocal about BYU's mission and standards.
