idea what the BOT will or will not do in the future. Nothing they've done to this point has locked us out of competing. And this garbage about the arms race is just another example of people hearing what they want to hear, and ignoring the rest. Tom has made it clear that BYU will do what it takes to remain competitive with the top programs, and that includes paying stipends. Also, both Bronco and Holmoe have stated over and over again that the program's goals include competing at the highest levels. Obviously we're not there yet, and who knows how long it may take. All my post did was note that we can get there at some point. I didn't put a time on it, just said there's no real reason why we can't grow the program into one that can compete with anybody, someday.

Hard to believe that this kind of position is labeled delusional.
