I've been a full-time EMT the last 2 years. Critical care ground and fixed-wing
interfacility transfers. I'm in Boise.

This after quitting geotechnical consulting through my LLC. I made 4x the money but was NEVER home and had grown to mostly dislike the work since I was no longer in the field. You can only stare and rocks in an office by yourself for so long without going crazy... Wouldn't be easy to return to in the short-term either. Precious metals exploration/drilling projects have really dropped off since 2012 according to my old co-workers I still stay in touch with. Even the seasoned exploration geologists are struggling a bit.

I've loved EMS work and have been working on my prereqs for PA school for the last year. That won't change. Better hope I have a good xmas season selling detectors. That and I better hope this reality show gets picked up for Season 2....

Ugh..
