I'm not ashamed, just frustrated.

but, to keep it focused and simple - here is where I'm frustrated:

Loss to Utah State at home.

Loss to Nevada at home.

Poor Defense / Defensive Coaching - across the board, our talent on D is above that of Utah's if you go by star rankings. Why are they getting so much more (against better teams) than we are this year???? Answer - coaching. I don't understand, the SOFT defensive mentality by Bronco and especially Howell. It's gotten better the past few games, but when we were winning and 4 and 0, why in the world during that time, did Howell keep getting softer and softer on D??? Why do you take the mentality that you are going to let an offense settle in and get comfortable??? Rather than, we're going to rock you world and we are not going to let your QB nor your offense get comfortable. We are going to keep you off balance. Yes, Hill went down, but so did the aggressiveness on the defensive side of the ball. Even with Hill, the way Howell was playing softer and softer, we would have lost games.

Bronco's lack of adjustments and his staff (in game and during practice week). Refuses to do anything different to beat opponents. Says, the system, just needs to be executed. Tell that to TCU, Utah and BSU, who all have two BCS games under their belts. Did they employ strategy to beat opponents - YES. Lots of it. Much more than we've seen from a stubborn Bronco.
