I cannot find a box score to prove it, but I'm pretty sure LMU played in the Maui Classic in November 1990, so after Kimble moved onto the NBA. It kind of sticks in my memory, because Santa Clara was in that same Maui Classic and played pretty well -- winning the consolation game.
